Generali Investments SICAV (GIS)
SRI Ageing Population sub-fund:

4 years of harvesting awards and growing assets

The ageing of the population is an inevitable long-term demographic trend: the number of the population aged 60 and above is growing faster than any other segment of the world population, and it is estimated that, by 2045, seniors will account for 19% of the worldwide population, compared to 12% currently*.

What is really interesting though is the sheer transformational impact on our societies and economies, such as their share of the overall wealth: the “Grey power” is a reality, with specific needs, aspirations and purchasing power.

This “Mega trend” therefore opens up some interesting opportunities to European companies, often operating internationally, that offer specific products and services for this segment of the population.

This is why, the idea came to create this unique strategy, combining SRI (Socially Responsible Investment) screening, thematic investing on the ageing of the population and stock-picking.

Ageing is a global phenomenon of unprecedented magnitude and speed. It will exacerbate the pressure on public welfare systems and can contribute to a higher political uncertainty.
